Along with my friend Katy, I’m restarting the local group of Living Streets, so there’s an umbrella network in Tower Hamlets to support grassroots efforts to make the area better for walking. Please join us and spread the word about our launch event later this month!
Wish Tower Hamlets streets were better for walking? Let’s talk about how to make it happen at this Living Streets local group workshop: Monday 30th November 6-8pm at Poplar Union (2 Cotall Street E14 6TL).
Tower Hamlets could be so much better to walk or wheel around. We are relaunching the local Living Streets group because we want to push for easy changes that could make walking and wheeling safer and more doable for everyone.
At the event, you can find out more and join workshop-style discussions on our initial campaign ideas:
- Better enforcement against speeding
- A ‘school street’ for every school
- More crossings and dropped kerbs
- Better regulation of hired e-bikes
The line-up will include very short talks from Tower Hamlets Living Streets, Solve the School Run andFootways, and mini-workshops, 6-8pm.
